Buzzard Beach Bar - Our Story

Buzzard Beach Bar opened on September 1st, 2009, right on picturesque Lake Eustis. Owners Jack and Laurie Protzman saw this beautiful lakefront location in Tavares, and envisioned the perfect hangout that everyone in Lake County could come to – relax and enjoy themselves.

Since opening, Buzzard Beach has enjoyed a tremendous amount of positive feedback and goodwill. Word of mouth has spread and it has become a friendly home away from home for many people throughout the community and Central Florida.

Buzzard Beach is located right on Lake Eustis, just past the public boat launch on the north side of U.S. Hwy. 441. We’re easy to reach wherever you live or work in Lake County – just minutes from almost everywhere. Plus, you can also reach us by boat, and dock right outside our bar.

Buzzard Beach is the perfect destination for friends, family and groups to hang out and relax. Everyone is invited, whether you’re a local biker or attorney. We offer a laid back, wholesome and relaxing atmosphere where anyone can come and have a good time. In addition, we also have a Full Liquor Bar, serving your favorite cocktails and mixed drinks. You can sit back and take in our scenic view of the lake while enjoying a selection of import and domestic beers, wine or other refreshment. And in case you’re hungry, we offer you a selection of popular appetizers, seafood baskets and other tempting menu items.

Looking for a nice place to celebrate a special occasion or club event? Buzzard Beach can also accommodate parties and special events. In addition, we also offer kayak rentals and tours.
